Two teenagers fell in love, they drove motorbikes and enjoyed the speed and adventures. Even though they had that special connection and “butterflies in the stomach” feeling, they grow apart as many teenage romances do. They moved on, lived their lives in different directions, had new relationships and welcomed beautiful children into the world.
One day, 30 years later, their paths crossed again. Both was single and ready to mingle! The butterflies came back to stay this time and they started to weave their lives together again like a nice colorful and loving rug.
The type of rug you see that takes up the whole room with it’s brightness and warmth, and all you want to do is to lay down on it, stroke your hand over it and immerse the feeling. The wedding bells were loud and after the “I do” had been outspoken clearly they rode of in the sunset on their motorbikes, just like the teenagers they once was when it all started.
JUST MARRIED!
During their time apart, Kicki had bought a house in Portugal that she wanted to bring to life and eventually move to. Lars was not late to jump the wagon! Said and done, the journey of transformation took start. Together they created the possibility to balance the time between the house in Portugal, Casa Dalecarlia, and the life in Sweden.
They have worked really hard to get their home the way they like it and it's still in progress. The idea was also to share their lovely place with others that wish for a nice getaway. By organizing and inviting friends and family to trips with special activities, like: diving, yoga, motorbiking and food & wine, they made their business grow. Now they have more guests coming in and staying at their B&B, but honestly I would say it's more like a home away from home, and they wish to reach out to more people that are open, social and easy going to come join them in the sun!
Kicki and Lars are happy with the help they got! Now their love story can go on and the colorful, loving rug will continue to be woven. The opportunity to share more of their oasis of color, peace, flavors and adventure at Casa Dalecarlia will come true.
I know this is a cliché, but there’s no doubt in my mind that they will live happily ever after in their amazing and caring home!
